Blockchain808 is an educational publication about blockchain, stablecoins, DeFi and digital-asset infrastructure, edited and published by Eric.
We follow a question through history: what problem was a technology meant to solve, how did it work, and what new trade-offs did it introduce? You can read the main story first and explore technical detail when it becomes useful.
Who edits this site?
Eric is responsible for the site's topic selection, explanations, source references and corrections. The editorial focus is on tracing how a system works: who controls an asset, what a token represents, where income comes from, and what happens when someone wants to leave.
Assess an explanation by the evidence and reasoning shown alongside it. An author name, a project's announcement or a polished diagram is not a substitute for checking the underlying source. This site does not provide individual investment, legal or tax advice.
What you can learn here
- Follow the history: the Blockchain Story connects digital cash, Bitcoin, Ethereum, tokens, DeFi and later questions about scale and usability.
- Choose your depth: Learning Paths separates beginner, intermediate and advanced routes. Topics helps you return to a particular question.
- Work through a decision: the stablecoin exit-cost calculator shows how fees and sale prices change the amount received. Its defaults are fictional teaching inputs, not live quotes. No wallet or purchase is required.
How explanations are checked
Our editorial checklist asks four questions:
- What exactly is being claimed? Separate a design proposal from a deployed feature, and an announcement from independently demonstrated use.
- What does the source establish? Prefer original protocol documents, issuer terms, filings or research for the claim they actually support. Link the evidence so readers can inspect it.
- Does the example follow from the assumptions? Show the steps in teaching calculations and label fictional inputs. A worked example illustrates a mechanism; it is not a prediction of returns.
- What could change the conclusion? State the relevant date, implementation differences and limitations. Correct material mistakes rather than changing only an update date.
Dates, limitations and corrections
The archive contains articles published and revised at different times. A historical event is not a current market quote, and an article's review note applies only to the scope described there. It does not certify that every other page has been rechecked.
If you spot an error, use the Contact page and include the article URL, the disputed statement and a supporting source where possible. Eric is the editorial contact for these requests. Please do not send wallet keys, account passwords or other sensitive credentials.
Read the Editorial Policy for source and correction standards, the Disclaimer for the site's educational scope, and the Privacy Policy for information about site services.
